🌵🌞 ❤️ Looks likes it’s officially summer, but you don’t need me to tell you that do ya?! And, we just hit our 4-year-Arizona-anniversary!
We moved here on the hottest day of the year back in 2021. The next morning, I rode my bike around the block and then spent the rest of the afternoon recovering with a cold rag on my head and electrolytes in my water bottle. Silly little beach girl.
Actually, weather aside, I would have never imagined that moving to a different state—where we knew nobody—and starting completely over smack dab in the middle of midlife would have been as difficult as it was. We’ve finally turned a corner on settling in, but it took a lot longer than I would’ve expected for my family to find our footing here.
Our experience has made me truly understand what it’s like to feel disconnected from your community, which is one of the main reasons why I am so dedicated to creating connection through The Buzz.
I know you know what I mean, because I get messages from many of you who tell me! I even got to meet one of you in person last week! What a gift! Dawn, it was lovely to meet you! Welcome to Buckeye!

🇺🇲 Daughters of the American Revolution is seeking 2 volunteers to put flags on poles in downtown Buckeye on July 4th.
⚡ Good news! According to Arizona Weather Force, 2025 Monsoon Season (which officially started 6/15) is on track to be similar to the 2021 season! AZWF is the only source of weather info I follow. He’s kinda kooky, but he’s always on point with the forecast!
💰 You can earn money by going… grassless. Buckeye Water Resources is offering a rebate for water customers who replace natural grass with artificial turf or low-water use landscaping. Check out the program highlights and other available rebates!
