• 🍭 NextDoor Treat Map: If you are on NextDoor (great community resource btw), add your house to the map and/or find the hotspots for trick-or-treating!

• 👻 You can find the best of Arizona’s Haunted Houses via this map.

• ✨ Lights on Arbor Way in Verrado has shows nightly Friday, Saturday & Sunday through October 27th. See link for more info.

• 🎡 The Arizona State Fair ends this Sunday, 10/27.

• 💫 Desert Farm Lights is open and runs thru December 29th | Tickets Req’d | 14629 W. Peoria Avenue, Waddell.

• 🛟 Verrado Residents: The Heritage Swim Park will be closed for deck painting until October 30th.

• 🎭️ Time is running out to get your tickets to “The Holidays Can Be Murder” an interactive dinner theatre event scheduled for November 8-10th at the Center on Main in Verrado. Last day for ticket sales is 10/31. See highlighted link for discount code, more info & tickets.

• ❤️‍🔥 Saucy Luke’s is now accepting Food Truck & Vendor Applications and applications for competitors (use same link application form) in the Amateur Rib Competition for the upcoming West Valley Barbecue Festival scheduled for 01/11/25 in Surprise.

• 🛀 Toward the end of Bamboo’s life, I had to give him baths almost daily. I found this tub mat incredibly helpful - it provided a cushy, grippy surface for him to stand or lay on and made bath time so much easier! It comes in various sizes & colors. I ordered the white 47” x 16” mat, but be sure to measure your tub or shower to find the right fit.*

• 😿 Lasting Paws Pet Memorial Services: As pet owners, it’s something we all must face sooner or later… Recently, the question about pet cremation services has come up a few times in our local Facebook groups, and I’m glad to see others recommending Lasting Paws. KC In Home Pet Euthenasia uses them for her patients, and it’s the same service she turned to when making the final arrangements for my best friend, Bamboo.  If you use KC, she will handle communication with them, though I chose to pick up his remains myself. Their attention to detail and quality of service is exceptional.

• 🇺🇲 The Verrado Cheer Boosters have launched their Flag-A-Yard Fundraiser. The ordering process makes it easy to add on addresses so you can gift to others too, all under one order! Surprise your neighbors! Ordering deadline is November 2nd and houses must be within a 10-mile radius of Verrado. I have placed my orders and can hardly wait for the flaggings on November 9th!

• 🙏 Tickets are on sale now for the EBeauty Wigs & Wishes Fundraiser scheduled for November 2, 2024 from 5-9 PM at Heritage Swim Park - Verrado. Click on link for more info & tickets.

• 💗 Tickets are now on-sale, and expected to sell out soon, for the Helping One Woman dinner event scheduled for November 22, 2024, honoring, Kristin Coolidge, whose husband, Phoenix Police Officer, Zane Coolidge, who passed away in September 2024, due to injuries received in the line of duty.  Click here for more information & tickets.

⏳️ The regular season is winding down, so if you haven’t yet been out to a game, what are you waiting for? It is especially fun to go now that it’s cooler. In fact, you may even need a sweater. 😉 

🥁 Also, it’s Homecoming week for the Vipers! And, as always, the Viper Vanguard Band will be hosting a VIP Special Event (at all home games). Tickets include stadium entry, a VIP area to enjoy the game in comfy seats in the end zone, and all you can eat food & drinks! Click here for tickets and more information.

• 🍃 All of a sudden today, my allergies are going bananas, especially affecting my eyes. For years, we have used and love - and continue to use - this children’s liquid allergy medicine from Costco. I feel like it offers just enough punch to be effective, but not enough to make you feel groggy or weird like a lot of allergy medicine does. [Not showing on Costco’s website, so I included Amazon link. Price comparable but not Prime so… bummer!]*

• 👀 At times like this, when my allergies go crazy - thankfully usually only once or twice a year - I also use these once-a-day eye drops. I like to use them at night, right before I go to bed. If you wear contacts (like I do), pay special attention to the instructions.*
