Issue No. 5

Hello Buckeye!
As I write this every week, I am continually amazed to find so many things I have never known about before… There is so much going on, in so many different places!
Because of that, in order to make sure I am sharing things you are interested in, on Saturday I will be emailing all subscribers a short survey. Your input is valuable! Thanks in advance for completing it and helping make The Buckeye Buzz better!
Now let’s get right to it… 🐝 cause…
The more you know, the more you go!

FOR THE ❤️ OF DOGS
🐕️ My FaceBook feed is filled - DAILY!!! - with lost and found dogs and it breaks my heart (and I know it does yours too)! Here are some quick & easy things you can do to help get your pet returned promptly or to help someone return your pet to you:
Get your animal microchipped. This can be done at any vet or at places like PetsMart.
If your animal is already microchipped, confirm your contact information connected to the chip is correct.
Buy and use a dog harness like this or this or this instead of a collar. A harness is better for their neck and makes it easier to catch your dog.
Attach a name/information tag to the harness like this or this or this.
If your dog already has a tag, be sure the information on it is correct - a name tag with a disconnected phone number is useless.
And if your dog is a real escape artist and repeat offender, a GPS tracker like this may be a great option for both of you!

🏈 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS SCHEDULE
🌭 Have you tried a Game Dog? I don’t know why, but food just tastes better at the football game! I’m still dreaming about the shave ice I had a few weeks ago when the team played Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale.
💸 Bonus: The concessions stands are run by the teams’ Booster Clubs (aka the fiercest moms (and dads) on the planet!!!) and your purchases go toward helping financially support the team! Win-win!
📆 You can access this week’s game schedule via the link below. Note, 2 teams have games on THURSDAY (that’s tonight!)!!!

THIS & THAT
🍩 Have you heard of Too Good to Go? Their mission is to fight food waste. You can get discounted goodies from local eateries like Coldwater Coffeehouse & Bakery. The more users there are for the app, the more local restaurants will get involved, which means more deals for us. Spread the word!
🐦️ Anyone else have issues with birds hitting the windows of your house? It used to be a daily occurrence over here. I ordered these window decals and they seem to help. Hasn’t completely eliminated the problem but it has greatly reduced the frequency.
👃This dry weather has come with an unpleasant side effect for me - frequent nose bleeds. Luckily I discovered Nampons, which are individually wrapped and easy to carry with me on a walk or in my purse. They contain a special clotting agent to stop nose bleeds fast. Tip: Cut them in half and get twice as many uses out of the package. I researched the cheaper alternatives, but found these to be better overall.
