Sprouts Farmers Market
As I learned during my call with Ryan, Sprouts is the anchor of this shopping center and, because of that, they will open first. Which means…
Sprouts is scheduled to open in Buckeye, Arizona, on July 24, 2026!
If you've never been to Sprouts, it's a Phoenix-born grocery chain that lands somewhere between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, heavy on fresh produce, bulk bins, natural and organic products, and a butcher and seafood counter.
Their weekly sales are awesome and the prices are way friendlier than Whole Foods.
EōS Fitness
The next “big building” is EōS Fitness, which I’m told just started construction; it’s expected to take 10 months to build. So, look for that to open sometime in 2027.
EōS is a full-service gym with a major Arizona footprint. They have weights, cardio, group classes, personal training, and amenities like saunas and tanning depending on the membership tier. Affordable monthly pricing makes it a popular pick for families.
My son is already a member of the Goodyear EōS and is thrilled to have one closer to home. He's also crossing his fingers that this location will have a basketball court (Mr. Buzz is hoping for a lap pool and a hot tub). Amenities vary by location, so the specifics for The Mix on Roosevelt location are still TBD. If anyone has the inside scoop on that, please let me know!
MUNCHIES
I often think about the very limited food options we had when I moved here just 5 years ago (almost to the day). In the last 6 months alone, our options seemed to have quadrupled and yet, the questions I get most, are always related to restaurant openings. On this corner, we’ll have:
A family-owned Arizona breakfast and lunch spot that's been around since 1988, famous for their flaky biscuits and gravy, hearty plates, and a cozy "pull up a chair" vibe. Dog-friendly patio = bonus points.
The chicken sandwich heavyweight you already know and love (and remember, they'll be closed on Sundays).
The one I’m waiting for! Burritos, bowls, and tacos built your way. This one will also have a Chipotlane which is Chipotle's drive-thru pickup window — but with a twist. You order ahead through the app or website, then pull up to the Chipotlane to grab your food without ever leaving your car. (No ordering at the window — it's mobile-order pickup only.) This is the only way I Chipotle!
Cold Stone Creamery (pending)
Mix-ins galore, ice cream pounded into oblivion on a frozen granite slab, and birthday songs sung at full volume. I love this place so much and will always remember it was love at first bite when I first had it one hot summer many years ago in downtown Huntington Beach.
Fresh-blended smoothies, açaí bowls, cold-pressed juices, and avocado toast… for when a brain freeze sounds better than a burger.
The Texas-born burger chain with the orange-and-white roof that locals swear by. That Banana Pudding Shake sounds pretty tempting!
