Food Fast: My Top 6 Faves 🍔
I’m one day away from having all my boys home with me all summer (send a hug… and maybe groceries). Which means keeping food stocked is about to become my full-time job.
If they emerge from their rooms, it can only mean one thing: I’m about to hear “I’m hungry.” (Which just in fact happened 😆 as I was finishing this!)
Which is exactly why I appreciate local spots where I can place an order and pick it up lickety-split. These are my go-to spots for food fast… not necessarily fast food.

While these may not appear to be the “mom & pop” shops that we all love to support, behind the neon signs, there’s often more than meets the eye.
Some (perhaps all?) of these establishments are owned by local residents and they provide jobs for members of our community too.
One of them even hired one of our boys last summer for his very first job. Watching him put on that uniform, earn his own money, and gain confidence has been a big deal over here.
And, these businesses - all businesses here - play an important role in our local economy and community.
