🥳 Welcome to the 40th Issue! 40 weeks of creating community!
It’s wild to think back to the start—and just how many people I’ve met and places I’ve visited over the last 9 months (to the day!) because of The Buckeye Buzz.
I shared a bit about The Buzz’s backstory way back in "I ❤️ Buckeye - Part 1” (in Issue No. 2 on September 19, 2024). What I never shared though was the actual event that I missed—twice!!!—which then inspired me to start The Buzz in the first place.
Well, now I can, because…two weeks ago the stars aligned and I finally had a chance to pop over and meet… 🥁 🥁 🥁…. Robynn and the girls at ICED Gourmet Shave Ice! You can find them, and their hand-crafted syrups served out of VW Van, every Wednesday (until August 6th) from 4-8 PM at The Center on Main in Verrado. (See photos under the Fun Finder section below.)
Last summer, they were just down the street from my house and both times I found out about it in my FaceBook feed a week after-the-fact. Grrrr!!! It’s my goal here at The Buzz to make sure that never happens to you or the businesses who miss out on our support because we didn’t know about their event!
Now let’s dive in, 🐝 cause…

😎 One wall of my house (all bedrooms) gets direct afternoon sun. Despite window tint and insulated shades, it’s still soooo warm, especially at night. I recently purchased several of these blackout shade panels and I am surprised how much cooler (and darker) our rooms are now. (Don’t get the white, it smells like chemicals; The black had no smell.)*
