🌵 Nothing stops me in my tracks quite like stumbling upon a cactus in full bloom. It’s absolutely breathtaking to be surprised by these happy bursts of color. In fact, the blossom of the giant Saguaro Cactus was designated as the Arizona State Flower in 1931. I’d tell you to keep an eye out, but you won’t need to — these blooms practically jump right out at you, dancing on display, during the months of May & June.

• 🕵️‍♀️ I was doing a little research about all the construction going on and see that Aldi is coming to Jackrabbit Crossings (Indian School & Jackrabbit) and Sprouts is coming to the southeast corner of Verrado Way & Roosevelt Street! There’s also a Home Depot going in near Costco! See all the “coming soon” projects/stores and the map here!

• 🌺 Speaking of new stores… I’ll be at Goodyear Civic Square (“GSQ”) on Wednesday, May 7th from 5-6 PM for the big reveal about which new business is coming to Goodyear! I absolutely love GSQ — can’t wait to see what’s next!

• 👮Registration is now open for the Spring 2025 Citizens Academy that takes place May 14th-June 24th every week on Tuesday from 6-8:30 PM. This is a free course that gives you an inside look at how the Buckeye Police Department operates. Apply now.

• 🍓 I’m blaming it on the wind, but wow, my sinuses are tweaked. I’ve had to rely on my trusty bag of tricks to get me thru the day lately.
