Hello Neighbors!
Big weekend around town! There are over 60 events going on this week, and thatās not including the music listings!
For those of you Verrado Residents, itās Founderās Day Weekend, which means if youāre headed to the concert and havenāt got your chairs out, youāre late. š¤£
As for me, Iām still soaking in every second of Buckeye Civic Institute as weāre nearing the end (only a few more weeks š¢).
Last week, we visited the new Buckeye Fire Station 707 and it was another incredible, informative, and fun evening! Iām sharing a bit about that in todayās 5-Second Facts and look forward to doing an in-depth feature about them in the future.

š Last Thursday, as part of the Buckeye Civic Institute, we toured the new Buckeye Fire Station #707 (on Yuma). Holy smokes, I learned a lot! Hereās a few factsāspecifically about that stationāto whet your whistle:
They operate 24/7 with a crew of 5āeach trained at the basic EMT level, with 2 certified paramedics
85% of calls are paramedic-related, 10% involve fire, and 5% other (hazardous materials, inspections, rescues, wildlife response, etc.)
They aim to be out the door within 60 seconds of initial call
Average response time is 7 minutes
