🐝 Weekly Roundup - Issue No. 24

Hello Friends!
Well, Mr. Buzz and I are still buzzing after an absolutely incredible day at the Buckeye Air Fair on Sunday. The show, the VIP experience, the food, and the people… we are speechless!
It seems crazy that after living here 3½ years, we’re still amazed by how truly caring, welcoming and down-to-earth people are. But, from Day 1— when we first visited AZ—it has always been how authentic and kind people are here that stood out the most.
We left the air show just baffled—how did we end up here? How were we lucky enough to be given this gift that keeps on giving named Buckeye?
When we moved here, we didn’t know anyone. Now, we find ourselves surrounded by so many people who are just the ABSOLUTE BEST on every level. If you’re new in town, we know first-hand how difficult the transition can be, but encourage you to stick around and get out and experience life here.
For me, being involved in the Buckeye Civic Institute (“BCI”) has been the literal icing on the cake with bees on it. A special THANK YOU to Janene VanLeeuwen, Christine Grundy, Sara Silk, and all my BCI classmates for making my birthday on Sunday the best I have ever had and one I will never forget. Truly the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me! 🥹
Now let’s get into it, 🐝 cause,
The more you know, the more you go!
~ ❤️ Vanessa

In This Week's Buzz

This week, my friend Kris and I made the short trek to Old Town Avondale to check out Coldwater Coffeehouse & Bakery—a spot that has been on my “to visit” list for a long, long time. I’m glad we did because we finally found a place to get simple, delicious, organic food and a fantastic cup of coffee!

FOR THE ❤️ OF DOGS
From West Valley Animal Rescue:
“Meet Rylah, a stunning 3-year-old, 55 pound, brindle beauty with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. We call her Rye! This sweet girl is the total package—gentle, loving, and ready to bring endless joy to her forever family. Rye is fantastic with other dogs, both big and small, and absolutely adores kids. She’s crate trained, uses the dog door like a pro, and is a dream at the groomer. Whether it’s a fun car ride or a cozy cuddle session, she’s always up for anything as long as she’s with the people she loves.
But what truly makes Rye special is her story. She has spent the past two years in a rural shelter, cherished by the staff but never finding a family of her own. While many dogs struggle in long-term shelter life, Rye’s resilient spirit never wavered. She remained hopeful, loving, and patient—waiting for the day her forever family would finally find her. Now, it’s her time. Rye is ready to give her whole heart to the family who will cherish her as much as she deserves. Could that be you? Don’t let this incredible girl wait any longer—she’s been waiting just for you.
Rylah’s adoption donation includes her age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, spay, microchip, collar, leash and toys.” Apply to adopt here.
