If you didn’t know, the whole reason I started writing The Buzz was because I never knew what was going on around town and I kept finding out about events after the fact. This is also why I’ve never attended Buckeye Days (which is this weekend) and why I decided to share my research about it with you here.

As you probably do know from what I’ve written before, I am also currently participating in the Buckeye Civic Institute, which has given me a direct line to Buckeye fun facts.

In last week’s class, Ashley Mazariegos, the Economic Development Coordinator for The City of Buckeye, provided us with a wonderful presentation of behind-the-scenes information regarding Buckeye’s economy, how businesses are brought to the area, and what’s happening on the horizon.

Ashley herself was an impressive presenter and I left that night—as I do every time—grateful to those who are dedicating so much effort and intelligence into making Buckeye the very best in the West!

Buckeye’s current (as of July ‘24) estimated population is 119,000. By 2030, that number is projected to climb to 193,600. But, hold your hats—at full build-out—Buckeye’s population is expected to reach 1 Million! 😮
