🌟 Viewing this holiday light display has been the highlight of my December! Now that I know about it, I go daily - both DAY & NIGHT! I love it so much that I reached out to the homeowners to get some 🐝 hind the scenes information and they graciously agreed to talk to me. What a gift it was to meet & spend time with them!

IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW 🔎 

• 🥶 Verrado Residents: The heater at the “play pool” (Center on Main) is broken so unless you’re a polar bear, avoid until it’s fixed. I’m told they should be receiving the part next week. The “Lap Pool” is heated and operational. The Heritage Pool is now being heated, until the “play pool” is repaired.

•  🚂 The Safari Train at Wildlife World Zoo has been refurbished & is back on track! Even at my “advanced” age 😉, riding trains like this is one of my favorite things to do!

• 🫶 Registration is now open for the next Helping One Woman event scheduled for 1/15/25 in Goodyear.

LOCAL LENS 📸 

🦉 Only took a few steps out my door tonight for my walk when I heard the “hooo- hooo” and looked up to see this fella sitting on my neighbor’s roof.

Fun fact: It was on my Bucket List to see an owl in real life (outside of captivity). I had heard them several times in Orange County but never saw one until I moved to Buckeye!

• 😻 I’ve been waiting for weeks to share Jetty the Christmas Cat with you! Have you ever seen such an expression? I laugh every time I look at this picture!

• 😺 BARK (Buckeye Animal Rescue & Kennel) is in need of any variety of wet or dry cat food. Donations can be dropped off at the Buckeye Petsmart (on Watson) or text Jenn at 480-238-0722 to arrange for other drop off locations. You can also shop directly on their Amazon Wishlist.

• 💗 If you are considering adding a furry friend to your family, please ADOPT DON’T SHOP. There are so many animals in need of loving homes, like the ones available at West Valley Animal Rescue.

COMMUNITY 💟 HEARTBEAT

• 💓 Mirna’s Place is in need of volunteers to assist with “Stations Drive-thru Distribution” on December 21, 2024 from 8 AM - 3 PM. They will be distributing boxes of food and cleaning supplies to over 300 families. Toys will also be provided to families in need.

• 🫵 All Faith Community Services is in need of volunteers | Get Involved.

• 🎈 I have been watching sweet Dani over at Konfetti Party AZ whipping up (and also deflating 😱) these gorgeous ballon backdrops all over town! This one was so over-the-top, I had to share it!
