• 🎉 The wait is over - Sunrise Market in Verrado is finished! Be sure to stop by and check out Studio Linea’s Open House happening on Saturday, December 7th (details in event listing section).

• 🚂 Registration is now open for The Polar Express Experience [for ages 3-13] which takes place on December 13th from 5-7 PM at Sundance Recreation Center! Free!  Register here.

• 🍪 Registration is now open and space is limited for Blue Sky Organic Farms’s annual cookie decorating that will take place on two date options: December 13th or 14th. Click link for more info.

• ⛳️ Registration is now open for West Valley Mavericks’ Patriot All-America Golf Tournament (& concert) to be held at the Wigwam Golf Course December 27th-31st. Click link for more information & tickets. [This isn’t an ordinary golf tournament!]

• 🐕️ Reminder: These dog training classes held at Sundance Park, offered through the City of Buckeye, start on December 8th!

• 🧸 Toy Drive for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control Shelter Dogs: The goal is to stock the shelves with enough toys for every dog (currently close to 500 dogs available for adoption - so sad!)!  Shop their Amazon wish list and ship requested items directly to the shelter: West Valley Animal Care Center, 2500 S. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009 (602/506-7387).

• 🐶 West Valley Animal Rescue is always in need! They are looking for pens, folders, gently used blankets, comforters, sheets, towels (bath size), collars, crates, leashes, laundry soap & folders.

COMMUNITY 💟 HEARTBEAT

• Loren Martin Dorsett and her children - thru her company “NuSkin” - are hosting an “Adopt a Grandparent” event and are seeking sponsors ($30/each or any other amount) toward the gift bags they are assembling which will include hand/foot cream, fuzzy socks, candy cane, & a handmade card. There will be several children personally delivering the gifts to nursing homes in our area. Deadline to submit funds is this Saturday, December 7th. See linked FaceBook post for details.

• Mirana’s Place is seeking volunteers to assist with food & gift distribution at their event in Buckeye on December 21st from 8AM - 3 PM. See linked flyer for more details.

• Volunteer Opportunity: Buckeye Super Heroes is looking for individuals 12 & older to assist with gift & food box distribution on December 14th | Buckeye Elementary School Gym | 7-11 AM 

🏈 SEASON HAS COME TO AN END

🏆️ Congratulations to the Verrado Vipers for an incredible season of football, making it all the way to the semi-finals! You guys played your hearts out and left it all on the field! I am so happy I got to witness some amazing plays in person and I will never forget that last 17 seconds in the game against Notre Dame Prep on November 15, 2024!

⏱️ Already looking forward to next season! Fangs out! 🐍

• Michelle Green of Green Pepper Catering, insisted on gifting The Buzz with some of her Thanksgiving specialities as a thank you for including her in our recent “Gobble Gobble Guide.” That surely wasn’t expected or necessary but very much appreciate your kindness! Since we were planning on fish tacos for Thanksgiving, having a bit of traditional Turkey Day food provided for a nice appetizer earlier in the day! I loved the mac & cheese and the melt-in-your-mouth prime rib! Thank you so much, Michelle! ♥️ 

• 🙏 You may have heard about the tragic domestic violence incident that took place on November 19th here in Buckeye. Very happy to learn that the victim - who was shot 8 times - is recovering. What a miracle! Read more here.

• 📦️ You ever get a bunch of boxes delivered from Amazon and you can’t remember what you ordered? That just happened to me! For us moms, that’s probably as close we’ll ever come again to the feeling of Christmas morning! I can’t remember what inspired me to order this but after having just used it for the first time ever in my life, I don’t know how I lived without it for… half a century. It’s weird but my nose feels so fresh and I can breath so free! OMG why am I telling you this? 😆 🙊 Would make an excellent stuffer for your stocking though! *

• ⌚️ Also in today’s shipment was this new watchband to replace the original white one that came with my Apple watch when I bought it. I have tried several different ones over the years and have never found one I liked, until now. I got the matte black and I love it! A little thinner in width than the original and it fits better because of the different sizing options! Bargain-priced too! Cha-ching!*
