🌺 Spring has sprung!

I like that we do things a little differently here in Arizona, and I’m going to join in by pointing out that no matter what the calendar says about the official start of spring… if you step outside around these parts, it’s already arrived.

We’re currently on Spring Break over here and have been eating our way around town since the school bell rang last Friday. We launched into the weekend with an invitation to the Friends Of The Southwest Valley Family Advocacy Center’s 2026 Fundraising Gala.

That evening started with small bites, transitioned to an incredible buffet dinner, and ended with the most delectable desserts. Mmmmm…. chocolate cheesecake. Besides the goodies, and the glamour of The Wigwam, I’m completely blown away by how many great people I met and heard from who are doing very BIG, very important - heart-centered - things for our local community.

By Sunday, I had just barely recovered from that social extravaganza but wanted to roll over to Hernandez BBQ (food truck) so I could share about them today. That brought another 3 days of eating… more on that below.
