“This is my beloved CiCi. I had to put her down a month ago. I got her after my husband passed. She was 10 then and I had her for four years. Best dog ever, brought me love and joy at just the right time. We were absolutely good for each other.😋”
😇 I stared at Cici’s picture all day, as I was putting this issue together. Like many of you, I’ve weathered some very difficult seasons in my life, and I know fellow dog owners will understand when I say: losing a dog can feel even harder than losing a human. When a human dies, there’s typically shared grief. With pets, it’s just you, the one incredibly lucky person who got to experience that unique, unconditional love. My heart goes out to Lydia, I can tell Cici was a very special girl.

I will be forever grateful for the gentle care of Katherine at KC In Home Pet Euthanasia for taking such good care of us from start to finish, including the cremains & paw print.
