AZTEC on a hike!
🐾 Meet Aztec, submitted by Buzz Reader and local Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Natalie Widomski, of Pawsitive K9 Trainers, LLC:
“This my Lab mix rescue named Aztec. He is 8.5 years old and is a therapy dog. We volunteer with a local pet therapy group in Goodyear called “Mutts on a Mission.” Aztec is a R.E.A.D: Reading Educational Assisted Dog and we volunteer at Barbara B. Robey Elementary School in Litchfield Park.
Aztec helps kids improve their reading scores, by being able to read in an environment that feels safe, especially if they are struggling with reading in general. All of his students have dramatically improved their scores. Its such a joy to spend time with these kiddo’s. He has had a busy career as a therapy dog! We have also volunteered at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, City of Hope, Phoenix Sky Harbor, Avondale Police Department, and Amazon’s facilities during mental health months. He brings smiles to all he meets.” Dogs are so incredible! Thanks for sharing him with us, and the community at large, Natalie!
