In each edition, sent every Thursday, you'll find the latest events, reviews, and fun things to do in and around Buckeye. I will also include a spotlight on a local inspiring business, entrepreneur or resident and share with you a review of one of my favorite local spots.

After all, it is YOU, the people and places of Buckeye, who make this such a special place to live!

Kane Aquino - The Hardest Working Fella in Buckeye

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to this wonderful young man, Kane Aquino [pronounced “Uh-Key-No”]. No doubt there are a lot of hard working people in our beautiful city, but Kane has to be right up there at the top.

I will be the first to admit that I lived in Arizona quite a few months before I got up the courage to try raw fish in the desert. As I learned years ago from my husband, it’s best to eat fresh fish near the ocean and the ocean (or any other body of water) is nowhere near here.

  • Tempo Urban Bistro has completed renovations and it looks incredible! Go check it out.

  • The Craftsman in Verrado is NOT closing its doors. I have confirmed this! They are closed on Mondays though.

  • Waddell’s Longhorn will be temporarily closed as of September 9th for improvements.

  • Hidden Lake is closed for Phase 2 renovations until further notice.

FOR THE ❤️ OF DOGS

🌊 Have you heard of this state-of-the art dock diving, swimming & dog training facility located in Tonopah, Arizona? This has to be the coolest thing I’ve seen all summer! Check out TonoPaws! And, if you visit, please let them know we sent you.

❤️‍🩹 Recently had to send my dog, Bamboo, to heaven. I am so grateful to the gentle nature of Katherine at KC In Home Pet Euthanasia for taking such good care of us from from start to finish, including the cremains & paw print. Service was heads & tails above any other vet I have used. Highly recommend!

LOCAL VARSITY FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

Even if you don’t have skin (a kid) in the game, attending “Friday Night Lights” is a great way to support our local youth and truly feel a part of the community. Bring the kids!
